Fitness as a Lifestyle

Fitness as a Lifestyle

This may seem odd to mention or talk about. A majority of people use fitness in relationship to eating, food and calories. Lifestyle honors fitness in all areas of health and well-being. Lifestyle is foundational, from the way you live, things you value, how you

Healthy Habits that Boost Happiness.

Healthy Habits that Boost Happiness.

If you know taking better care of your health is important to you the habits you build upon are essential. Non-negotiable to hold you powerful in the changes.

Optimal Performance; The Greatest of All Time.

Optimal Performance; The Greatest of All Time.

The Greatest of All Time.  Optimal Performance brings the best of people. Consistency plus a plan which values work, recovery, growth and release.  Key factors for people to perform at such high levels are their programs and habits.

You can take your performance in health to the next level through a clean eating plan with proper nutrient support, mindset and lifestyle. It’s structured with a clear path and plan.

To be 43 years old and playing in peak performance shows what’s possible for any age with a plan that supports you physically mentally and emotionally.   Trust me, there’s a lot which goes into it, beyond the field.

Optimal Performance takes the inner workings of you and organizes and structures your health, nutrition, fitness, mindset and lifestyle. This is not a gym, or personal training. A gym is a place you pay to rent and a personal trainer gives you exercises, spots and counts. A coach sees your potential, guides and coaches you to excellence.  Their philosophy and skills bring more to you than just the physical.

When you decide your health and performance is a priority, take the steps to get involved in the right programs. You’re going to need to structure your day. You’ll need the right support systems. You’ll need to know where your fine line is….between anabolic and catabolic (that’s building and breakdown). With too much you’ll break down more than you’re building or stagnate your progress.

Your health and well-being, your performance is more feelings, emotions and mindset. Being present in your workouts. Being present in your mindset. Plus, your body’s function and production of hormones and neurotransmitters.

Are you willing to look at your overall health and well-being to uplevel, to grow?

Can you see the potential and possibilities you have for yourself?

How much productivity and focus will a coach bring to your career as an athlete or entrepreneur to organize and structure your health, nutrition and lifestyle?

Here are 3 steps to focus on your health today;

  1. Start your day with movement.  Fitness, from weight training, yoga, running, cycling, are great ways to start your day with a practice and healthy habits.
  1. Include mindset. Keep your head clean, clear and focused on your vision and goals. This comes from affirmations, reading, writing, visualization, and practicing in your new level of focus and who you are becoming.
  1. Clean eating and vitamins. Foods rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins.  Eating a plate of colorful foods, vitamins to support oxidative stress, enzymes to digest foods, probiotics to keep up with good bacteria, Zinc for health, and a personalized  vitamin protocol for your own health.

Optimal Performance keeps you working at your potential and allows you to grow and gain strength internally and externally.  You’re never to old, it’s never to late.

PERFORMANCE

PERFORMANCE

Performance is a set of deep feelings, emotions, actions, habits and precision in motion. As athletes, actors and those who put on a show, performance is a given….a path and a way of doing for a sense of purpose and meaning. A real connection to

BUCKLE UP….

BUCKLE UP….

This year has been interesting… For some we see opportunity, growth and neccessary changes. For others the changes have been traumatic and life changing in a way you’re unclear on how to make changes. Everything falling apart at once. Paying attention to your health is

How I built my foundation of success doing the opposite.

How I built my foundation of success doing the opposite.

They thought I was crazy. “Who would need or want what you have to offer”,  they said. I was determined in my ethics, clear in my feelings and actions. I knew without a shadow of a doubt my head and heart were aligned, in integrity,

Your Endocrine System- The Hypothalamus: CEO of your Body

Your Endocrine System- The Hypothalamus: CEO of your Body

Your endocrine system is made up of glands found throughout the body. These glands, which produce hormones, send hormones into the bloodstream or into the fluid around cells, and receptors to be distributed among organs and tissues, and “programmed” to respond to the hormones.

Essentially the endocrine system performs many roles that your body is dependent on, such as producing hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, and mood – and along with other functions. The endocrine system physically consists of:

  • Pituitary gland
  • Thyroid gland
  • Parathyroid glands
  • Adrenal glands
  • Pancreas
  • Ovaries (females)
  • Testicles (males)

An unhealthy, or unsupported endocrine system result in an assortment of unwanted conditions such as hindered growth and development during puberty, difficulties getting pregnant, problems managing stress, putting on weight easily, having weakened bones or being low on energy because an excess amount of sugar remains in your bloodstream instead of where it should be – moving into cells to be used for energy.

Here are some common signs your endocrine system is not hitting on all cylinders:

  • Insomnia and other sleep issues
  • Dull or puffy skin
  • Depression
  • Low energy
  • Low sex drive
  • Alopecia (hair loss)
  • Weight gain
  • Heightened fear
  • Anger
  • ADHD

The first step in supporting your Endocrine System is through Nutrition, Vitamins and Minerals. Check out these products below to support your health, body and endocrine system.

  • Vitamin D Levels of vitamin D often significantly lower in patients with hypothyroidism, although a direct connection still not determined.

Glutathione and your body- the Cellular Level of You.

Glutathione is an antioxidant produced in cells made up of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine. One unique thing about glutathione is that the body is able to make it in the liver, which is not true of most antioxidants. Glutathione has many important
